Saker Falcon (Falco cherrug) - 20 fils

Falconry (الصقارة) holds a deeply revered place in Arabian heritage, historically serving as both a essential method of hunting in arid desert environments and a cherished symbol of status, discipline, and noble tradition. Among birds of prey, the Saker Falcon (Falco cherrug) is particularly celebrated across the Arabian Peninsula for its strength, speed, and endurance in tracking game across desert terrains. The falcon remains a prominent national emblem of Kuwait, prominently featured on the state's official emblem and various government seals. To showcase this iconic symbol of national identity and cultural heritage, Kuwait’s postal administration issued a distinctive definitive stamp series featuring the Saker Falcon perched on a traditional leather block. Printed by Joh. Enschedé, the long-running series provided standard postage across Kuwait while celebrating the country's deep-rooted Bedouin traditions and natural wildlife heritage.
