Second Anniversary of National Day - 50 fils

This Kuwaiti commemorative postage stamp serves a vital civic and patriotic purpose by celebrating the Second Anniversary of National Day on 19 June 1963, marking the young nation's continued independence and state sovereignty. The design displays a central portrait medallion of Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salim Al-Sabah set against a map of the nation featuring oil derricks, overlaid by the waving national flag, marching infantry troops, armored tanks, and a military aircraft flyover. By bringing together symbols of executive leadership, strategic resource wealth, and national defense forces, the stamp intentionally projects a powerful message of security, political stability, and growing national confidence during the country's early years of self-governance.
